Bribie Island’s Volunteer Marine Rescue will play host on Sunday 13 October to a free action-packed day of emergency services demonstrations, kid’s activities and family fun.
VMR Bribie Island Commodore, said local emergency agencies would demonstrate the latest in marine rescue, fire fighting and policing technology.
“Bring the whole family and get up close with our local emergency services heroes,” “There will be a jumping castle, stalls, free giveaways and plenty of emergency services personnel on hand to give you advice”.
Meet local firefighters, police and ambulance officers, marine rescue, SES and Red Cross volunteers, and many more. Equipment on display will include a fire truck, water cannon, rescue boats, and other high-tech equipment.
This year you will see Tahnee the young Expo Ambassador who will assist the signatories on the day.

Bribie Island Combined Emergency Services Expo is part of the state-wide Get Ready Queensland campaign to help local residents get ready for the bushfire and storm season.
"Coming along to the expo is a great way to learn more about how you can get your family ready,” he said. “If you do a little to prepare, we all accomplish a lot as a community”.
Bribie Island Station Officer Trevor Stark said local fire fighters, Rural Fire Service and SES volunteers would be able to provide local residents with lots of practical tips about how to get ready.
“Locals should come along armed with their questions about how to prepare themselves and their property for the threat of bushfire or severe weather,” Mr Stark said.
